WHAT OUR NETWORK
SAY ABOUT US

“Giles introduced me to the CFO role at Anatwine in 2017 a rapidly growing e-Commerce B2B retail company that needed process, scale-ability and commercial leadership to enable the growth. The CEO was looking for his dream CFO but wasn't sure what that looked like. So, with Giles's assistance we positioned the job-functional requirements with the right skill set and type of person who could be hands-on but also add strategic value to the business. This was shared with the CEO who was delighted to have this extra value presented to him; and on further discussion it was exactly what the CEO and COO were hoping to find. And ultimately the role was expanded to set-up HR and run Legal. It was the perfect result.”

“Giles and I worked on my recruitment into EDF Energy customers. He and I quickly developed a relationship of trust largely due to Giles' open style. He gave me excellent advice on role content and career development that I thought played beyond immediate role placing. I can see an ongoing relationship here for sure.”

Katie Jacob - Finance Director - EDF Energy

“Having successfully placed me into the CFO role at Lenovo, Giles’s detailed knowledge of Lenovo’s needs and culture made him the perfect choice to source high quality candidates for my team.”

Gareth Holton - CFO - Lenovo

“OSI first became a presence in Oxford in June 2015 as a startup, albeit with considerable sums of money. Over the last 20 months we have created 27 spin-outs from the University of Oxford, all as start-ups.

I started in June 2015 and having been previously based in London did not have many connections in the Oxford area. I met Giles very soon after starting and he has proved an invaluable source of high quality experienced CFO’s from a whole range of industries, but particularly life sciences and tech businesses. This plays into our requirements where we have a significant number of start-ups in this area which require the experience of dealing with grants, tech, compliance with the accounting rules and the associated tax issues such as R&D, losses and VAT.”

Jim Wilkinson - CFO - Oxford Sciences Innovation PLC

“I first met Giles when applying for the role of COO at Sondrel. Giles was excellent at dealing with me as a candidate. I felt informed and knew exactly how the process was operating and what stage I was at throughout. Six months in, I needed to recruit a European FC so gave Giles a call. Giles already knew the business, took the brief and had it filled in good order. Giles maintains constant contact even when there is not an immediate requirement, so I have no doubt he will be ready to support me when needed.”
